Canadians had no mainstream social platform that kept their data in the country or gave them a say in how the network was governed. Building one meant adopting a decentralised protocol rather than a single server, and making it feel like an ordinary app anyway.

Decentralised infrastructure is only worth it if the person using it never has to think about it.

Worked across the React Native client, the AT Protocol data layer, and the services around them, including a personal-data-server migration path, a post scheduler, and the beta invite system. The client ships to iOS, Android, and web from one TypeScript codebase.
